Nile University is the first entrepreneurial, research-based, national University in Egypt. Established in 2006, (Presidential Decree # 255/2006), Nile University was officially inaugurated in January 2007 and became a non-governmental autonomously managed (Ahleya) university in 2014 (Presidential Decree # 123/2014). Nile University developed both its vision and mission to support its mandate.

Starting out with graduate studies programs, Nile University has grown over the years to include 5 schools: School of Engineering and Applied Science – School of Information Technology and Computer Science- School of Business Administration – School of Biotechnology – Graduate School of Management of Technology.
Currently the University is expanding its academic programs and research capabilities; to help achieve its Mission.
Five new schools have been approved by the following presidential decrees:
The School of Energy and Environmental Engineering by the Presidential Decree No. 859/2023
The School of Digital Humanities, School of Water Science and Food Security, School of Sciences, Graduate School of Education by the presidential decree No. 368/2024.
Nile University is seeking to recruit outstanding and visionary candidates who can contribute to teaching research and service in a vibrant and challenging academic environment, to teach at the Graduate School of Education. The successful candidates will have a proven track record of academic and research excellence, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for developing the next generation of leaders. This is a unique opportunity to lead one of the premier schools in Egypt and the MENA region, fostering excellence in education, research, and industry partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to:
- Develop and teach graduate-level courses in Special Education, (focusing on individuals with special needs and special abilities) Educational Leadership and STEM education.
- Participate in the development and evaluation of the program at all levels, aligning with future student and industry needs.
- Establish and maintain a productive research program that attracts external funding and produces high-quality publications.
- Boost a dynamic research environment, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and securing external funding for research initiatives
- Supervise student research and projects at graduate levels.
- Engage in service activities within the department, school, and university.
- Foster partnerships with industry and contribute to community engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in STEM Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership or a closely related field from a national or internationally reputable or accredited institution.
- All Academic ranks are welcome to apply, (Assistant/Associate and Full Professors).
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience (for the position of Full-Professors) of distinguished teaching, research, in a national or internationally reputable or accredited institution
- Exceptional teaching ability, a strong commitment to mentoring junior faculty and students, and demonstrated administrative capabilities.
- A distinguished, extensive record of recognized scholarly research that includes publications in leading academic reputable journals and presentations at academic conferences.
- Active participation in professional organizations and committees.
- Familiar with budget management, fundraising, and securing external funding for research and development initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- STEM Education: Experience with developing STEM curricula, knowledge of modern pedagogical techniques, and contributions to research in STEM teaching and learning.
- Integrated Special Education: Expertise in inclusive education practices, designing educational programs for individuals with special needs and those with exceptional abilities, and research on best practices for special education.
- Educational Leadership: Experience in leadership roles, policy development, school administration, or reform initiatives, and demonstrated ability to lead collaborative research projects.
- The ability to foster collaboration between academia and industry, promoting the practical application of research and enhancing student outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to faculty development and student success.
- A strong understanding of accreditation standards and requirements and the ability to navigate the accreditation process effectively.
- A demonstrated ability to lead initiatives in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability.
