Starting out with graduate studies programs, Nile University has grown over the years to include 5 schools: School of Engineering and Applied Science – School of Information Technology and Computer Science- School of Business Administration – School of Biotechnology – Graduate School of Management of Technology. Currently the University is expanding its academic programs and research capabilities; to help achieve its Mission.

Five new schools have been approved by the following presidential decrees:
The School of Energy and Environmental Engineering by the presidential decree No. 859/Year 2023.
The School of Digital Humanities, School of Water Science and Food Security, School of Sciences, Graduate School of Education by the presidential decree No. 368/Year 2024.
Nile University is seeking to recruit faculty members and deans for the newly established schools.
The School of Sciences:
Nile University is seeking an outstanding and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the School of Sciences. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of academic leadership, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep understanding of the scientific landscape and challenges locally, regionally and internationally. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the leading Higher Education Institution schools in Egypt and the MENA region, fostering excellence in education, research, and industry partnerships. The Dean will be a member of the Nile University’s council and report to the University Provost toward achieving NU strategic goals and carry on a wide range of responsibilities that are critical to the success of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Leadership: Lead the School Council, represent the school on the University Council, and drive a strategic vision aligned with Nile University's mission.
- Curriculum Development: Engage in the development and updating of new bylaws to fulfill changing market needs and Supreme Council of Universities regulations and requirements. Oversee development and evaluation of programs at all levels, aligning with future student and industry needs.
- Faculty Recruitment and Development: Attract and retain top-tier faculty dedicated to outstanding teaching, and impactful research as well as oversee evaluations, and identify growth opportunities.
- Quality Assurance and Accreditation: Experienced with best practices in national and international accreditation processes or similar accreditation standards. Has a proven track record of quality assurance commitment and participation in national or international accreditation procedures.
- Research Excellence: Foster a dynamic research environment, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and securing external funding for research initiatives.
- Student Centeredness: Adheres to the concept of student-center learning and is committed to fostering an environment that encourages competency-based and project-based learning approaches. Capable boosting recruitment, retention, alumni connections, and career success for a supportive learning environment and smooth professional transition.
- Industry Partnerships: Strengthen ties with local and global businesses, foster relationships that provide students with experiential learning opportunities, internships, and career pathways.
- Financial Budget: Manage the school budget, approve expenditures, and secure external funding for research and growth.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum academic rank of Full Professor with a PhD in any related scientific field.
- A distinguished record of recognized scholarly research and teaching accomplishments in one of the school’s specializations. This includes publications in leading academic journals and presentations at academic conferences.
- Demonstrated success in academic leadership, such as previous experience as a Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chair, or similar leadership role.
- The ability to secure funding from a variety of sources, including alumni, corporations, and foundations, to support the school's programs and initiatives.
- Proven experience in budget management, fundraising, and securing external funding for research and development initiatives.
- The ability to foster collaboration between academia and industry, promoting the practical application of research and enhancing student outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to faculty development and student success.
- A strong understanding of the higher education landscape in Egypt, accreditation standards and requirements and the ability to navigate the accreditation process effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in international collaboration and a record of fostering global partnerships.
- A demonstrated ability to lead initiatives in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability.
- Knowledge of NAQAAE and ABET accreditation processes or similar accreditation standards.
