Nile University's OSP team attended a workshop at Ahram Canadian University on December 19th; the workshop included an info session tackling Erasmus+ call for 1 hour conducted by Dr.Ghada Bassiouni, National Erasmus+ coordinator, then a proposal writing session for 2 hours was conducted by Dr. Neveen Assem, Director of Training and Development center at Ain Shams University. Prima Session by Dr. Mohamed Wageih
OSP successfully held the Prima info Session, conducted by Dr. Mohamed Wageih, Prima project and Policy Officer; the session took place at Eng. Samir Helmy Hall on May 14th. The session tackled Horizon Europe funds, how to develop competitive proposals and building strong consortiums. Deans, researchers and professors attended the session, shared their thoughts and asked questions and enjoyed Dr. Wageih’s recommendations. A Grant from PRIMA for a Project Entitled INTACTBioPack
Dr. Abdelrahim H. A. Hassan has been awarded a grant from PRIMA for a project entitled INTACTBioPack; the project has been selected by the Scientific Evaluation Committee and will be funded by the national funding bodies. NTACTBioPack is a 36-month time-frame project involving a pan-Mediterranean consortium of 11 partners that aims to foster the adoption by the Mediterranean region, of novel, cost-competitive, biodegradable, and reusable food packaging, able to reduce food waste and loss. An STDF Grant for the Project "Real-Time Water Management System: Toward Zero Water Waste"
Dr. Ahmed Soltan has been awarded a grant from STDF for the project "Real-Time Water Management System: Toward Zero Water Waste" under the Applied Sciences Research Grant call. The project will pave the way for further research on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for estimating the pollution rate for different water sites and predicting any hazards to water supplies. This will fill the technological and economic gap in the water monitoring and management system in Egypt by developing a fully integrated system for water monitoring and diagnosis in real-time.

Dr. Mohamed Kasem has been awarded a grant from the STDF for the project "Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting in Renewable Energy Applications, Mathematical Foundation, And Implementation". The main objective of this project is to develop a novel mathematical model for the Piezoelectric bladeless wind turbines and develop a mathematical model for unsteady turbulent flow around bladeless wind turbines.
