Over the last few years, Egypt witnessed a significant growth in its communication and information technology industry in general and software development in particular.

Security domain is a key component in any field. It plays a vital role in securing industry know how, health records, online banking transactions, research results and many more. In 2006, NU dedicated a department in its ICT School for security research and education. This project was aimed to be the national project for leading and promoting ICT security sector in Egypt and the whole region.

The Master’s in CIT-Informatics Program is a high-quality M.Sc. program aimed at imparting advanced knowledge across a broad range of informatics science topics and offers training in higher skills around a variety of specializations.
It enables the opportunity to go deeper into the fundamental principles of computing while focusing on the applications.

The Ph.D.

The program prepares professionals capable of integrating knowledge of science, engineering, business and technology to master the process of guiding creativity, R&D activities, innovation and product development, commercialization and the management of different technological resources for sustainable development.

The Ph.D. program focuses on the bases and methodologies of scientific research,  contribute effectively to the science and knowledge in the field of Management of Technology. Management tools and business ethics are emphasized throughout the program. NU's teaching philosophy relies heavily on student self-initiative, self-study, and understanding.
