Job Description

  1. Warehouse Operations Management:
    • Oversee the daily warehouses operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
    • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy by coordinating regular stock counts and audits.
    • Optimize space utilization and ensure the warehouse is organized according to best practices.
  2. Inventory Control:
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing overstock and obsolescence.
    • Implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages, excess stock, and stock discrepancies.
    • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and improve operational efficiency.
  3. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and manage warehouse staff, including training, performance management and career development.
    • Establish work schedules, assign tasks and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  4. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure the warehouse complies with company policies, health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
    • Implement safety programs and procedures to protect employees and reduce workplace accidents.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels and key metrics.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies and areas for improvement in warehouse operations.
    • Work closely with procurement, production and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain.
  6. Budgeting and Cost Control:
    • Assist in developing and managing the warehouse budget, including labor, equipment, and operational expenses.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
    • Monitor expenses to ensure operations are within the approved budget.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience is a must – seven years in the same field.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, logistics, supply chain or relevant field.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • An analytical mind with strong math skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Very Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software.
  • Microsoft Office Computer Skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Preferable commercial or mathematical background.
