Senior Manager Office of Sponsored Programs
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and mentor a team of sponsored programs staff.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for proposal submissions, award processing, and compliance.
- Collaborate with faculty, departments, and administrative staff to streamline sponsored research activities.
- Post-Award Management:
- Supervise post-award administration, including contract negotiation, award management, and monitoring compliance with sponsor terms.
- Stakeholders Networking
- Build a strong industry awareness and network: Demonstrated familiarity with relevant industry sectors and established professional connections across various types of companies, including corporations, NGOs, and research-driven organizations and development agencies working in areas aligned with sustainable development and community advancement to solve real-world challenges.
- Identifying External Stakeholders: Grants agencies, government agencies, community organizations, academic institutions, industry groups, and other parties that are affected by or have an interest in the organization's activities.
- Attend events, conferences, and meetings where stakeholders gather. Offer insights, ask for feedback, and listen to their concerns.
- Create University Profile for different platform ex: SAM and UNIDO
- Meeting Faculty to discuss their needs and lack of submissions
- International collaboration experience (preferred): Familiarity with international networking specialists, particularly within African regions, and experience working with sectors such as banking, finance, or international development is a strong plus.
- Training
- Provide training on grants management, compliance, and the submission process.
- Foster a culture of research integrity by providing resources to ensure faculty and staff are equipped with the knowledge to manage sponsored programs.
- Reports and Presentations
- Generate analytical reports and presentations for top management
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in business major or any related field.

Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.

At least eight years of experience in relevant field.
- Excellent English proficiency (Spoken & Written).
- Excellent proficiency of MS office package.
