Launch of the First Edition of the Egyptian Public Prosecution's Legal Expertise Exchange Program and Signing of a Cooperation Protocol with Nile University

In a move that reflects the commitment of the Egyptian Public Prosecution to supporting legal education and strengthening international cooperation, the first edition of the Egyptian Public Prosecution's Legal Expertise Exchange Program was launched on Saturday, February 15, 2025. The event was attended by Attorney General Counselor Mohamed Shawky, the ambassadors of the United Kingdom and Austria, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Egyptian and international university leaders, as well as representatives of UN agencies and students from Northumbria University (UK), the University of Vienna (Austria), and the German University in Cairo.
In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Egyptian Public Prosecution and Nile University. It was signed by Counselor Mohamed Shawky Ayyad, Attorney General of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Professor Dr. Wael Akl, President of Nile University, with coordination by Dr. Alaa El-Din Idris, Professor at the Graduate School of Technology Management and Consultant Expert at the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office, and Dr. Hebatallah Kaoud, Lecturer at the Graduate School of Technology Management and Director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office.
Key Objectives of the Agreement:
  • Developing Scientific and Academic Research: Exchanging expertise, expanding cooperation in graduate studies, and organizing joint events to enrich knowledge.
  • Qualifying Cadres: Granting prestigious academic degrees (diploma, master's, doctorate) to Public Prosecution members, enriching teaching experiences, and organizing field visits and training programs.
  • Serving the Community: Developing specialized training programs in critical areas such as artificial intelligence and intellectual property, implementing joint research projects, and providing specialized consultations.
  • Exchanging Knowledge: Sharing legal publications and research while utilizing Public Prosecution members in academic teaching.
  • Facilities and Appreciation: Providing discounts and scholarships for Public Prosecution members and their families.
During his speech, the Attorney General emphasized the importance of respecting international charters and collaborating to combat global legal violations. He reaffirmed that the Egyptian Public Prosecution remains actively engaged in both regional and international legal environments, striving to develop highly qualified legal cadres who are aware of their responsibilities toward humanity.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in supporting legal education and expanding cooperation between Egypt and the world.
