The Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Office (IPTTO) at Nile University is pleased to invite all NU community to a seminar by Dr. Fady Habashy, Senior Judge of the Court of Appeal in Egypt, titled "Overview of the International Patent System". The talk will be held on Wednesday, November 15th, from 12:30 - 2:30 PM at Samir Helmy Hall (Room 127).

Dr. Fady Habashy's Biography:

Dr. Fady has a legal professional experience of over 20 years of diversified experience encompassing several legal fields, inter alia, Public International Law, IPRs, Human Rights, International Conventions, Civil and Commercial Law, International Commercial Contracts, Legislations, Cybercrime and Digital Evidence, among many others.

He is currently a Senior Judge of the Court of Appeal in Egypt. He lectures and trains public prosecutors and judges at the National Centre for Judicial Studies in Cairo and Doha. In December 2021, he got his Ph.D. in Public International Law at Brunel University in London, U.K.

He is an accredited arbitrator to the Middle East Centre for International Arbitration and an accredited mediator to the Cairo Regional Central for Commercial International Arbitration. He is also an associate member of the Egyptian Association for the Prevention of Internet Crimes; a member of the Arab Federation for Electronic Arbitration; and a founding member of the Egyptian Alternative Dispute Resolution Association.

A proof of his success was embodied in the awards that were given to him, such as the Thomas Reuters Prize for Postgraduate Exceptional Overall Merit, Brunel University in London, U.K, 2016. He has come a long way in his field of knowledge through his continuous pursuit of professional experience through certificates, professional courses, and any chance of knowledge attainment for further development.
