Biotechnology Senior Students’ Field Trip to Al-Azhar University's Center of Fermentation Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology
The School of Biotechnology continuously supports professional and experiential learning strategies for its students to learn about the field’s latest technologies and explore market field opportunities.
As part of the learning activities undertaken in the course of Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology’s senior students went on a field trip to Al-Azhar University's Center of Fermentation Biotechnology and Applied Microbiology.
The students visited the center's research laboratories and explored the most recent techniques of industrial Microbiology. They were trained in different types of fermentors, the setting up of fermentation parameters, and monitoring of the process to obtain valuable products of potential uses in different fields.
