Nile University is the first entrepreneurial, research-based, national University in Egypt. Established in 2006, (Presidential Decree # 255/2006), Nile University was officially inaugurated in January 2007 and became a non-governmental autonomously managed (Ahleya) university in 2014 (Presidential Decree # 123/2014). Nile University developed both its vision and mission to support its mandate.

Starting out with graduate studies programs, Nile University has grown over the years to include 5 schools: School of Engineering and Applied Science – School of Information Technology and Computer Science – School of Business Administration – School of Biotechnology – Graduate School of Management of Technology. 

Currently, the University is expanding its academic programs and research capabilities to help achieve its Mission.

Five new schools have been approved by the following presidential decrees:

The School of Energy and Environmental Engineering by the Presidential Decree No.  859/2023

The School of Digital Humanities, School of Water Science and Food Security, School of Sciences, Graduate School of Education by the presidential decree No. 368/2024.
The Mechanical Engineering Program (The Mechatronics Major) in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is seeking to recruit starting Fall 25 Semester outstanding and visionary faculty with a specialization in Computer Engineering to join our dynamic team. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to teaching and cutting-edge research in the following areas:

  • Industrial Data Networks.
  • AI for Mechatronic Systems.
  • Computer Vision and Image Processing.
  • Embedded System Interfacing and Programming.
  • Computer Programming in Mechatronics Applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and teach innovative courses in embedded systems, industrial networks, and mechatronics programming at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Build strong, independent research in areas like IoT, AI, and machine learning with applications in mechatronics.
  • Mentor students, guide research projects, and support their professional development.
  • Secure external research funding and publish impactful work in leading journals and conferences.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world solutions.
  • Participate in curriculum development and program enhancement to ensure our program remains at the cutting edge.

Required Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • An academic rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
  • A strong publication record in reputable venues.
  • A demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and student mentorship.
  • Experience in securing research grants and managing funded projects.
  • Active involvement in professional and academic communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized expertise in applying AI and machine learning to mechatronic systems.
  • A track record of successful collaboration between academia and industry.
  • Familiarity with academic accreditation processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a passion for fostering student and faculty success.
