Biography

Dr. Tamer Arafa his received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Electronics and Communications from Cairo University in 1993 and 1997, then received a master’s in information systems and MBA from California state university in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Finally, He received Ph.D. from Cairo University in 2020.

Dr. Arafa is currently an assistant professor of ITCS at Nile University and an adjunct assistant professor of Computing in the University of North Florida. His research interests are Image Processing, Forensic Analysis, Machine Learning, Intelligent Systems, and IoT.

Dr. Arafa has more than 25 years of Information Technology experience in various roles, including IT software development, IT project management, IT program management, and IT delivery excellence. Dr. Arafa worked in different international organizations, including IBM, Ejada, SBM, Edmunds.com, Kaiser Permanente, and Egypt IDSC.
