Amr Elhefnawy is a Teaching Assistant at School of Biotechnology, Nile University with a focus on the Bioinformatics field. He obtained his B.Sc. degree with excellent with honours in Biotechnology from Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Azhar University in 2021.
He worked as a Research Assistant at Agriculture Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI), with a focus on microbial biotechnology and molecular biology fields.
Amr is further enrolled at the DAAD-funded Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Diploma (BCB diploma) as part of the EG-CompBio project, where he has participated in several research projects related to bioinformatics and computational biology. These include “Integrative analysis of host omics and microbiome data to identify common pathways and biomarkers for type-2 diabetes”, “Single cell transcriptomics and cell-cell communication analysis to identify potential markers and pathways of glyoplastoma”, and “Pancreas cancer classification of RNA-seq gene expression data using machine learning".
