A Grant from the Programme Kooperation Entwicklungsforschung – KoEF for our CS Program Director

Dr. Walaa Medhat, Associate Professor at ITCS and CS Program Director, has been awarded a grant from the programme Kooperation Entwicklungsforschung – KoEF (Engl. Cooperation Development Research – CDR) the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) who created an instrument to foster research on the two main principles of excellency and cooperation in development research.

The aim is to support application-oriented cooperation projects between Austrian higher education institutions/research institutions and institutions in countries of the Global South and therewith to contribute to analyzing and solving local challenges and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015.
