Undergraduate Scholarship

Undergraduate Scholarships — Fall 2026-2027

Nile University offers a range of full and partial scholarships to support academically excellent and financially eligible students. Scholarships are funded by Nile University and by partner institutions and foundations. Fresh high school graduates and transfer students are both eligible to apply; preference is given to incoming high school graduates.

How to Apply

The steps below apply to all scholarships unless a specific scholarship's section states otherwise.

  • Step 1 — Review the eligibility criteria for the scholarship(s) below and confirm you meet the requirements.
  • Step 2 — Complete the Admission Application Form to receive your NU ID number. You will need this number to submit your scholarship application.
  • Step 3 — Complete the Scholarship Application Form by the deadline 30/8/2026
  • Step 4 — Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an interview as part of the selection process.
  • Applications submitted after the deadline, or left incomplete, will not be considered.

How Applications Are Evaluated

Selection is based on a combination of the following factors:

  • High school score (weighted according to the type of high school certificate)
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Extracurricular achievements and awards
  • Interview performance (attitude, commitment to the scholarship, etc.)
  • Any additional criteria specified by the funding institution

This fund was generously established by Prof. Hassan Y. Aly, Emeritus Professor of Economics at The Ohio State University and Professor of Economics at Nile University. Its mission is to empower academically promising students to contribute to community development, by offering 50% partial

What are the types of discounts that NU Provide?

  • Merit Scholarships: A Partial and full Merit Scholarship is offered to academically outstanding students in the first year based on their high school score, the merit scholarships will be automatically applied according to the CGPA after the first year Click here
  • Siblings of NU students get a 10% scholarship.
  • Government employees' sons and daughters get a 10% scholarship.
  • A 5% scholarship is granted for excellence in sports.
