Dr. Hassan Aly Scholarship

This fund was generously established by Prof. Hassan Y. Aly, Emeritus Professor of Economics at The Ohio State University and Professor of Economics at Nile University. Its mission is to empower academically promising students to contribute to community development, by offering 50% partial scholarships, covering the full duration of study, to Egyptian students applying for undergraduate studies at NU in the Schools of Business Administration; Engineering and Applied Sciences; Information Technology and Computer Science; and Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

• Egyptian national residing in Egypt.
• Graduate of an Egyptian public Thanaweya Amma school in 2026/2027 with a score of 90% or higher, or a STEM School graduate with a minimum score of 85%.
• Demonstrated strong record of extracurricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and philanthropic involvement.
• Must satisfy all NU admission requirements, including English language proficiency and academic excellence.

Scholarship Policy

• Recipients must show strong academic progress and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 throughout their studies. Falling below this GPA will result in loss of the scholarship.
• The scholarship covers the standard number of semesters required to complete the selected major.
• Covers Fall and Spring semesters only.

Recipients must maintain an acceptable attendance record and receive no disciplinary warnings.
