Sawiris Distinction Scholarship for Public High School Graduates

The Sawiris Foundation offers full scholarships, covering the full duration of study, to Egyptian students applying for undergraduate studies at Nile University in all schools except the School of Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Egyptian national residing in Egypt (dual nationality holders are not given priority).
  • Graduate of an Egyptian public Thanaweya Amma school in 2026/2027 with a score of 90% or higher.
  • Proof of application to the chosen academic program and confirmation of meeting all program prerequisites. Applicants to English-taught programs must demonstrate the minimum required English proficiency.
  • Must not have lived abroad for more than three years.
  • Must commit to working in Egypt for three years after graduation, and to completing military service where applicable.
  • Priority is given to applicants demonstrating financial need, academic excellence, extracurricular engagement, and Takaful and Karama Program beneficiaries.
  • Open to students from all governorates, with priority given to applicants from Fayoum, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, and Qena.

Application Process

  • Apply to the academic program of the partner university.
  • Meet the minimum admission requirements at Nile University.
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency for English-taught programs.
  • Prepare all required application documents.
  • Complete the online Sawiris Foundation Scholarship 2026 application.
  • Provide your Student Placement Number — the Sawiris Foundation uses this to verify the scores of shortlisted applicants.Important: Being nominated for the Sawiris Distinction Scholarship does not guarantee admission to Nile University. Applicants must apply to Nile University separately.
