Egyptian Refining Company Scholarship

The Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) offers the "Mostaqbali" full scholarship, covering the full duration of study, to students from El Matariya, El Khosos, and East Shoubra El Kheima applying to the Nile University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Application Process

  • Eligible students should contact the ERC Community Service office at +20 10 6663 4365.
  • Submit the required documents to ERC (see checklist requested by the ERC office).
  • Complete the application form provided by ERC.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview.

Eligibility Criteria

  • High school score thresholds are determined according to the 2026 Tanseeq (national coordination office) indicators.
  • Proof of residence in El Matariya, El Khosos, or East Shoubra El Kheima is required.
  • Applicants must have graduated in the current academic year from a public school with a Thanaweya Amma certificate and a strong academic record.
  • Applicants must meet the admission requirements of both the Supreme Council of Universities and Nile University, including English language proficiency.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of extracurricular activities, research, innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and philanthropic involvement.
  • Applicants must perform well in placement exams and interviews.

Scholarship Policy

  • Recipients must maintain strong academic progress toward degree completion.
  • The scholarship covers the standard number of semesters required to complete the selected major.
  • Covers Fall and Spring semesters only.
  • Includes a monthly allowance (of 8 months per year) to cover transportation and education expenses.

Recipients must maintain an acceptable attendance record and receive no disciplinary warnings.
