Strengthening Global Partnerships | Nile University × Riga Technical University
We were delighted to host Ms. Maija Lebedeva, Project Manager at the International Mobility Unit of Riga Technical University, for a productive week of collaboration and knowledge exchange at Nile University.
This visit, conducted under the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility for Training framework, marks an important step in strengthening the partnership between our two institutions. Throughout the week, several strategic areas were explored, including:
- Enhancing student and staff mobility flows to ensure seamless international experiences
- Sharing best practices in administrative processes, including Inclusion Support (top-ups)
- Collaboratively developing future Erasmus+ proposals
- Engaging in job-shadowing activities to exchange expertise and improve institutional practices
The visit also included a series of meetings with key academic and research units:
- School of Business Administration – exploring opportunities for student exchange, staff mobility, and joint research, with a vision for a truly global classroom
- School of Engineering and Applied Sciences – discussing technical collaboration and expanding bilateral mobility opportunities
- NU Research Office – identifying shared research interests and potential joint funding initiatives
A highlight of the visit was Ms. Lebedeva’s sessions with our students, where she shared valuable insights into academic life, culture, and student experiences in Latvia.
At Nile University, internationalization remains at the core of our mission. Partnerships like this continue to open new horizons for our students, faculty, and research community fostering innovation, collaboration, and cross-cultural understanding.
