Bridging education with real-world research
As part of the MoU between Nile University and the National Water Research Center (NWRC), a scientific field visit was held on April 16, 2026, bringing together students and faculty from the Civil & Construction Engineering Program, Data & Environmental Engineering Program, and Industrial Engineering Program.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Noha Kamal (NWRC) and Dr. Heba Mosalam (Nile University), with the presence of Prof. Dr. Sayed Bastami. The Nile University delegation also included Prof. Dr. Ayat Osama and Dr. Bakinam Tarik, alongside a group of students.
During the visit, participants explored several key institutes at NWRC:
- At the Hydraulics Research Institute, the delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Sayed Dweidar, with insightful presentations delivered by Dr. Heba Fathi and Dr. Radwa Fathi.
- At the Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Impact Research, the visit was hosted by Prof. Mahmoud Rushdi and Dr. Sherine Zahran, with valuable contributions from Dr. Hani Ahmed and Dr. Randa Farag.
- At the Mechanical and Electrical Research Institute, Dr. Noha Kamal led the visit, featuring presentations by Prof. Mostafa Abu Zeid, followed by a guided lab tour by Prof. Khaled Fetyan and Dr. Abdullah Hussein.
This visit marks an important step toward activating collaboration through joint research, training, and knowledge exchange in water resources, climate change, and sustainable engineering.
At Nile University, we don’t just teach engineering—we connect our students to real-world research and prepare them to create impact.
We thank NWRC for the warm welcome and look forward to continued collaboration.
