Nile University Hosts Minister of Parliamentary, Legal Affairs and Political Communication for Youth Empowerment Dialogue
As part of its commitment to fostering youth development, leadership, and civic engagement, Nile University hosted a special event titled “Youth Empowerment: A Dream Turned into Reality,” featuring H.E. Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, then Minister of Parliamentary, Legal Affairs and Political Communication
The event brought together university students, deans, and faculty members for an interactive discussion on youth empowerment, political awareness, entrepreneurship, and the importance of active participation in society.
Prof. Wael Akl, President of Nile University, welcomed the Minister and emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and government entities. He highlighted Nile University's strategic vision, which focuses on advancing academic excellence, promoting scientific research, developing leadership skills, and supporting entrepreneurship and startups to prepare students for future challenges.
During the session, Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy outlined the Ministry's role in facilitating communication between government institutions, Parliament, civil society, and other stakeholders. He also discussed national initiatives aimed at empowering young people, including leadership development and training opportunities offered through the National Training Academy.
The discussion further explored the role of the National Dialogue in encouraging youth participation in public affairs and contributing to recommendations on national priorities. The Minister also highlighted government efforts to strengthen Egypt's entrepreneurship ecosystem, support emerging businesses, and address challenges facing young entrepreneurs.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, providing students with an opportunity to share their perspectives, raise questions, and engage directly with the Minister. He expressed his appreciation for their participation and reaffirmed the Ministry's willingness to strengthen cooperation with Nile University.
Through such initiatives, Nile University continues to provide opportunities that connect academic learning with real-world perspectives, encouraging students to develop leadership capabilities, embrace innovation, and contribute meaningfully to society.
