Nurse

Job Summary:

The position holder will provide primary healthcare services and first aid support within the university clinic while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety

Job Responsibilities 

• Perform all medical tasks required for first aid, including cannula insertion, intramuscular and intravenous injections, and wound dressing.
• Assist the doctor with medical procedures, first aid, and tasks such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Supervise the general hygiene of the university clinic and manage the disposal of medical waste.
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards and work to minimize its spread.
• Prepare a daily report on the clinic's status, including medicines and medical supplies.
• Perform any additional new tasks assigned by management that are within the same specialty and nature of daily work.
• Performing other related duties as required by the position or as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Technical Institute of Nursing.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• First Aid certificate holder
• Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmacological patient’s care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients on correct usage.
• Ability to maintain quality, patient safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Maintain medical professional standards and knowledge.
• Good command of English Language.
