Eng. Haytham Mohsen

Haytham Yassin is a Mechatronics Engineer with an accumulative experience of 14 years in industrial automation and robotics. He is currently a Professor of practice in the mechanical engineering program at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and the director of the FESTO Authorized and Certified Training Center (F.A.C.T) at Nile University.

Working in different industrial sectors, Haytham earned his Mechatronics master’s degree from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) to combine the best of both worlds by linking academic research with industrial applications. Furthermore, working with FESTO Germany in establishing F.A.C.T Centre, Haytham is authorized by FESTO didactic Germany as a certified industrial trainer to develop and teach competency-based training for industry and academia as well.

Haytham has been engaged in the academic development process through a series of EU and EG-funded projects targeting to bridge the gap between academia and industry, besides the engagement of industry sectors in technical and vocational development in Egypt.

Haytham was selected as one of the experts by the Technical Vocational Education & Training Egypt (TVET) as a short-term training program and curriculum developer to develop a partial qualification framework in mechatronics technologies for technical-vocational graduates.

Besides an M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics, he earned his master’s degree in business administration (MBA) in strategic management to develop his business knowledge and managerial skills further.

Haytham was selected among a few engineers by NASA JPL and NilePreneurs, as one of the consultants to develop vital ventilators in response to Covid-19. In addition, he was appointed as a trainer in the Innovation and Technology Transfer Department by NilePrenuers to train companies registered in the Egyptian Engineering Export Council on technology trends, technology scanning and the process of technological innovation.
