Dr. Marwa Sorour received her B.Sc. degree with honors in Electronics Engineering in 1993, the M.Sc. in Engineering Mathematics in 1997 both from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo university, and the PhD. degree in Engineering Mathematics in 2006 from Cairo University.
In 2006 Dr. Sorour was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Cairo University. Currently Dr. Sorour is an Assistant Professor at Nile University. The research interest of Dr. Sorour is in software engineering and the use of artificial neural networks and machine learning algorithms in a wide variety of applications including circuit optimization and yield maximization, adaptive learning in computer-based learning environments and recommender systems. Recently, her research interests included quantum computing, specifically its application in solving optimization problems as opposed to the traditional optimization methods in the context of different problems.
