Mathematical Research Schools in Egypt: Collaboration and Future Directions
Nile University recently organized a workshop in collaboration with the Egyptian Women in Mathematics Association of the Egyptian Mathematical Society, and under the auspices of:
- The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology
- The Egyptian National Committee for Mathematics
- The Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF)
The workshop brought together researchers, universities, and research centers to strengthen collaboration among Egyptian mathematical research schools and foster scientific exchange across disciplines.
The program featured opening remarks, invited talks, and six specialized sessions spanning:
Algebra, Number Theory, Nonlinear Dynamics, Artificial Intelligence, Theoretical Physics, Numerical Computations, Algorithms, Automation, Mathematical Statistics, and Game Theory.
A special tribute to distinguished female pioneers in mathematics:
- Prof. Samira Tadros
- Prof. Hoda Kamal
- Prof. Soheir Khamis
- Dr. Sahar Selim
- Jannah Taha Darwish
Their contributions and inspiring role in shaping future generations of researchers were honored and celebrated.
