IMAQT project establishes an exemplar program: Architecture and Urban Design at NU

The establishment of the Architecture and Urban Design program ARUD at Nile University NU Egypt is celebrated in the first publication of the Union for the Mediterranean Network of schools in Architecture and Urban Planning as an EXEMPLAR program chosen by the ERASMUS+ for integrating architecture and the scales of urban planning, for emphasizing learning from real projects and for linking to international urban policy.

ARUD at NU was founded in 2018 through a consortium of European and Egyptian universities who developed a unique “people-centred, multidisciplinary, and multi-scale program through a co-funded ERASMUS+ project “IMPAQT”. This endeavor is now documented and permanently celebrated in the 2026 publication of the UfM: International Knowledge Exchanges in Architecture and Urban Planning.
