Professor Goutam Chakraborty Live Public Lecture
The Business School of Nile University is hosting Professor Goutam Chakraborty, Director of M.S. in Business Analytics and Data Science at Oklahoma State University and who will teach Business Analytics in the EMBA at the N.U. School of Business discusses "How to use Business Analytics in the Industry." Everyone interested is cordially invited to join this upcoming Public Lecture on: "How to use Business Analytics in the Industry?".
The public lecture will be live-streamed on Nile University's Facebook page through Zoom Virtual Platform on Thursday, July 15th, 2021, at 7:00 pm (Cairo Time- GMT+2), followed by a Q&A session after the talk to answer any questions posed by the audience. Professor Chakraborty will take us through "An Executive's Guide to Analytics" since the past decade has seen explosive growth in analytics across all industries. The lecture is intended to provide a quick look at the history of how analytics applications in sectors have evolved and where they are headed in the future.
Participants will also learn about strategic challenges and opportunities in the analytics space to create value in the organization. The lecture will also discuss what skillsets employers are looking for in their analytics professionals and how the academia ( EMBA of N.U. in this case) is meeting those challenges. Professor Chakraborty's Biography: Professor Chakraborty is the Director of M.S. in Business Analytics and Data Science; The Director of Graduate Certificate in Business Data Mining; The Director of Graduate Certificate in Marketing Analytics and SAS®; and a professor of Marketing Analytics at Oklahoma State University. He is an internationally known expert in analytics.
He has presented numerous programs and workshops to executives, educators, and research professionals in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Australia, South America, and the Middle East. Prof. Goutam has won numerous teaching awards, including SAS® Distinguished Professor Award, Regents Distinguished Teaching Award at OSU, and others.
Goutam's research has been published in many scholarly, and he co-authored two books. He chaired the national conference for direct marketing educators in 2004 and 2005, co-chaired the M2007 data mining conference, and chaired SAS Global Forum 2018 conference.
