Job Summary

The Student Affairs Manager is responsible for leading and managing key student support functions including student life programs, employer relations and career services, and student financial support operations.

The role focuses on enhancing the overall student experience by supporting student engagement, career development, financial guidance, and well-being while ensuring effective coordination between students, employers, and university departments.

 

Job Description

  1. Student Life & Engagement
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational management of student life programs and services.
  • Oversee student government, student organizations, activities, housing, clubs, residence life, students’ health and student wellbeing initiatives.
  • Handle student complaints & concerns while ensuring a safe and supportive campus environment.
  • Coordinate with the university clinic, security, and emergency services when required.
  • Develop student life programs, initiatives and events that enhance the overall student experience.
  • Plan and execute student orientation programs in collaboration with faculty, staff, and student representatives.
  • Manage student life budgets and ensure responsible financial planning for activities and initiatives.
  • Enforce and supervise the implementation of the Student Code of Conduct.
  1. Employer Relations & Career Development
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers to create internship and job opportunities for students and alumni.
  • Organize employer visits, recruitment activities, and career events on campus.
  • Representing the university in recruitment events and professional networking activities.
  • Promote the university's academic programs to potential employers and partners.
  • Collect and analyze data related to student employment, internships, and job placements.
  • Develop annual plans and operational procedures for career services and employer relations activities.
  • Manage and supervise staff and student assistants supporting career services initiatives.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for career development programs.
  • Provide academic advising and career counseling, internships/ job search help, veteran/ military support and related orientations. 
  1. Student Financial Support
  • Manage the daily operations related to student financial services and student accounts.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding tuition fees, payment plans, financial aid, scholarships, and eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of student financial accounts and billing information.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and manage payment follow-ups.
  • Process student refunds related to dropped courses or excess financial aid.
  • Coordinate with financial aid teams to review and implement scholarship awards.
  • Calculate tuition costs by academic program and provide financial information to students when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations related to student accounts.
  1. Leadership & Management Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise staff and student assistants across student life, employer relations, and financial support units.
  • Develop operational procedures and service standards to ensure efficient student services.
  • Monitor departmental performance and recommend process improvements.
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Education, Accounting, or a related field- Postgraduate studies are considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in student affairs, career services, financial services, or related fields, including at least three years in a management role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic.
