From Biotechnology at Nile University to making a global impact.
Meet Ranaa Kamal, a graduate of the School of Biotechnology at Nile University (2024–2025) whose journey reflects the opportunities that a Biotechnology education can open beyond the classroom.
Through her scientific background and experiences at Nile University, Ranaa has pursued opportunities in sustainability, climate action, and youth-led innovation. She currently works with INJAZ Egypt, an organization that supports young people through entrepreneurship, employability, and skills-development programs.
Her achievements include participating in COP27, representing Egypt at World Atomic Week in Russia, where she presented her RENOTA project in collaboration with Rosatom Egypt and Rosatom Russia, and participating in Climate Justice Camps in Tanzania and Mexico, engaging with international advocates on climate justice, sustainability, indigenous rights, and environmental challenges.
Her journey is a powerful example of how the School of Biotechnology at Nile University can provide students with the scientific foundation, skills, and confidence to pursue opportunities and make an impact on both the local and global stage.
