Biotechnology Program

Biotechnology includes the employment of biological systems to develop enhanced technologies in various fields of life. The School of Biotechnology at Nile University is a pioneer in Biotechnology education in Egypt by providing interdisciplinary education, state-of-the-art facilities, and prosperous career opportunities

The program offers two majors:

  1. Applied Biotechnology Major
  2. Bioinformatics Major
Applied Biotechnology

Applied Biotechnology Major

Applied Biotechnology Major is an interdisciplinary field that applies technology to biology to improve the quality of human life by developing innovative products that help maintain the planet's health. Examples include bio-based vaccines, advanced and more accurate diagnostic tools for diseases in humans and animals, alternative fuels based on corn or sugar cane, crossbred harvests that resist pests, and decreased dependence on chemical pesticides.
