Biography
Toqqa Kafafy earned her B.Sc. degree from Nile University in 2024, majoring in Applied Biotechnology, and graduated with distinction, earning a GPA of 3.94. She currently works as a Teaching Assistant at the School of Biotechnology, Nile University. Her academic achievements include multiple President’s and Dean’s Honor awards.
Throughout her education, Toqqa developed a passion for teaching and mentoring, working as a junior teaching assistant for courses in Genetics and General Chemistry. Her graduation thesis, funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), focused on identifying VEGF-A as a biomarker for cerebral endothelial dysfunction in multiple sclerosis patients in an Egyptian Cohort, earning an A+ grade. She also contributed to projects exploring potential drug targets for Huntington's disease, transcriptomic analyses of cardiomyocytes, and the bio-fabrication of eco-friendly nanoparticles. Her contributions have been recognized through awards such as first place in the SOLE National Biotechnology Competition.
