Prof. Ayat Osama Ghallab

Prof. Ayat Ossama Ghallab is a full time Professor, the Data and Environmental Engineering Prgram Director. She is a member in the Smart Engineering Systems Research Center (SESC) in Nile University. She was a Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department and the former academic coordinator for the Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. She also served as a part-time professor at various universities across Egypt, including The Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport, the Higher Technological Institute, and the Egyptian Military Academy (Air Defense College). 

Professor Ghallab teaches a range of undergraduate courses, such as Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering, Process Modeling, Heat Transfer and Applications, Computer Applications in Petrochemical Engineering, Process Design, Environmental Science, and Chemical Principles. She has supervised more than 20 master's and doctoral theses, authored more than 20 publications. She also contributed to 28 Environmental Impact Assessment Reports through her role as a researcher at the Center of Environmental Research & Studies, Cairo University. Prof. Ghallab also participated in the preparation and revision of different University bylaws. She also reviewed 7 scientific papers in international journals and  is a Jury in Cairo Water Week Competition. She also participated in international conferences in Bulgaria, Poland and China and was a member of Erasmus+ Mobility to University of Oradea, Romania, 2025.
