"Mariam Fathy is a dedicated Teaching Assistant at Nile University and a current MSc student in Microbiology at Cairo University. She holds a BSc in Applied Biotechnology from Nile University, graduating with Highest Honors. Her academic journey includes numerous accolades, such as the President’s Honor and third place at the 2023 Undergraduate Research Forum for her innovative work as a part of a team on sustainable packaging. Mariam’s graduation project focused on eco-friendly solutions for the degradation of the azo dye Reactive Black 5 using fungi, highlighting her commitment to environmental sustainability and applied microbiology.
Beyond her academic and teaching endeavors, Mariam continues to explore innovative solutions to pressing global challenges through her research. She is driven by a strong commitment to advancing microbiology and biotechnology in ways that address environmental and societal needs.
