Biography

Prof. Arafa Soliman received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD from Faculty of Engineering, Helwan University, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.

Prof. Arafa’s experience and specialization are appreciated in several instances as evident in the many executive and scholarly roles he has undertaken. He is also a technical educational accreditation consultant for many engineering universities. Besides, he is an expert trainer at several committees like the Engineering general society and different engineering companies.

Prof. Arafa has extensive experience at both national and international Universities. he was a trainee assistant Professor at Innsbruck University in Austria as part of scientific project program which enabled his to exchange knowledge and sciences with students and scholars from other universities. The internationalization of his experience is also reflected on her postgraduate students as evident in supervising seven M.Sc. theses. His publications enriched research in the field of Production Engineering. With more than Ten publications in the field, he succeeded in guiding and orienting scholars. He participated at various local and global conferences where his expertise in areas such as: destructive and Nondestructive tests, Materials characterization, Green technology.

His main research interests are mechanical and production engineering. He has also designed and implements several training programs in different fields of engineering and management. He taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses like project management Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Mechanics of Materials, Engineering Materials, Maintenance Management and Technology, Environmental Studies, Quality Control, Engineering Economy, and Reverse Engineering.

Achievements

He was a trainee assistant professor at Innsbruck University in Austria as part of a scientific project program that enabled him to exchange knowledge and sciences with students and scholars from other universities. The internationalization of his experience is also reflected in his postgraduate students, as evident in supervising two PhDs and eight M.Sc. theses. 

His publications enriched research in the field of Production Engineering. With fourteen publications in the field, he succeeded in guiding and orienting scholars.

He was also rewarded by Cairo Governate for his green project.
