On the 24th & 25th of July, Nile University proudly hosted as the main organizer in cooperation with NTRA, the Egypt government-approved regulatory & competition authority, Micromouse competition, an engineering design competition created by IEEE. In the competition, several teams competed in designing & building an autonomous robotic ”mouse” capable of traversing a maze of standard dimensions from a specified corner to its center in the shortest time. During the closing ceremony winners were announced: 3 junior winners, with prizes varying from 3,000 up to 8,000 EGP for the 1st place, and 2 undergraduate winners, with prizes varying from 10,000 to 15,000 EGP. The closing ceremony included several speeches from Dr. Ahmed Madian, NISC center director at Nile University, IEEE Founder & NTRA representative. Post the event, 3 teams will be chosen to attend the grand competition in Aswan.
