Dr. Amr Guaily

Associate Professor

Dr. Amr Guaily received his BSc degree in aerospace engineering from Cairo University, Egypt 2002. Then he received his MSc degree in engineering mechanics in 2006 from the same university. In 2011, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada. His Ph.D. dealt with the mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of viscoelastic liquids. The current research interests are fluid dynamics with an emphasis on both the numerical simulation and mathematical modeling of viscoelastic fluids, As well as the use of the level set technique for the study of fluid/structure interaction.

Research interests:

  • Computational Fluid Mechanics
  • Constitutive Theory of Viscoelastic Fluids
  • Level Set Method
  • Aerodynamics
  • Bio-Fluid Mechanics
