Dr. Sally Kassem

Biography

Dr. Kassem obtained her PhD. Degree in industrial engineering in 2011 at the Department of mechanical and industrial engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. She obtained the M.Sc. degree at mechanical design and production department, faculty of engineering, Cairo university in 2002, and B.Sc. degree at the same affiliation in 1998.

Dr. Kassem has been an assistant professor since 2013 at the department of operations research and decision support, faculty of computers and artificial intelligence, Cairo University, Egypt. Currently, Dr. Kassem is an assistant professor at the Industrial engineering program, School of engineering and applied sciences, Nile University, Egypt.

She has been teaching several undergraduate courses at Nile University and Cairo University since 2013. She co-authored several research papers that were published in reputable journals and conferences. These papers cover diverse research fields, for example: logistics and supply chain, IOT monitoring and optimization, products’ design for sustainability, modeling and simulation, and many others. She served as a reviewer for many international conferences and journals of well recognized publishers like IEEE and Elsevier.
