Attended By Minister of Higher Education : Inauguration of 2nd Floor Wing at NU Main Building – Made possible by the HDB: Wednesday, August 16th , will mark the inauguration of the Second floor wing at Nile University’s main building. Finishing of the wing was made possible thanks to the contribution of the Housing and Development Bank. This collaboration testifies of the major role of leading corporations in supporting not for profit educational institutions towards the common goal of offering unique opportunities for students and researchers.
Finishing of the facility enabled NU to move its state of the Art Mechatronics facility: Festo Authorized and Certified Training Center (FACT) from the Smart Village where it was originally located to NU’s main building. The wing will also house additional classrooms and labs to accommodate increasing numbers of enrolled students as well as an incubator for start-ups.
It is worthy of mentioning that the equipment for the FACT Center was funded by the European Union through its Erasmus and Tempus projects which were awarded to NU under the supervision of Dr. Wael Akl, Dean of Engineering and Acting Provost.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar , Minister of Higher Education, Nile University’s Board of Trustees led by HE Mr. Amre Moussa , and Management together with the Housing and Development Bank Board of Directors led by Mr. Fathi El-Sebai will witness the Opening of the Second Floor Wing in presence of media and community members.
